Light Festival in Roskilde

In the darkness of winter, a magical oasis of light and activities comes to life, transforming the gloomy season into a celebration of light installations. Be enchanted by an impressive floating Jellyfish, experience sound transformed into fire, or lose yourself in the brilliance of a glowing circus tent.
The Festival of Lights is a celebration of illumination during the dark season and has become an annual tradition along the “Cultural Walk” in Roskilde downtown.
Ledreborg Lifestyle Days

Ledreborg Lifestyle Days are exciting days with inspiration in Garden, Housing, Art, Gastronomy, Outdoor and Health.
There are plenty of experiences and activities for both children and adults.
Ledreborg Lifestyle Days are held at the beautiful Ledreborg Palace, which with its beautiful and unique surroundings forms a fantastic setting for the exhibition. Ledreborg arranged, as the first in Denmark, their first lifestyle exhibition in 1995, which was inspired by the English flower shows.

Roskilde Dyrskue: The Largest Agricultural & Livestock Fair in Denmark
May 31 – 2 June, 2025
Roskilde Animal Show is Denmark’s largest animal show and outdoor machine exhibition.
There are lots of experiences and interesting facts from Danish agriculture for the whole family. Spend an entire day at the animal show and experience well over 1,000 animals. See when the animals are judged and when the big ring is filled with an amazing horse show.
In addition to the many stalls, animals and large machines, there is a large food exhibition, with a long list of local producers of high quality food for you to enjoy.
Frederikssund Viking Games
June 20 – July 6, 2025
Summer is Viking time! With horseback riding and fierce sword fights, the Frederikssund Viking Play recreates the atmosphere of the Viking Age with a dramatic outdoor performance of power, desire, love, and comedy.
The 2025 Viking Play is “Thyra”, which is a breathtaking tale of strong women, strong men, religious wars, alliances, and friendship. But above all, it is a story about love.
Roskilde Festival
June 28 – July 5, 2025
Roskilde Festival is Northern Europe’s largest festival, which has existed since 1971. Every year, more than 30,000 volunteers create the framework for a folk festival for people of all ages and with interests in all genres of music.
It is not only music that is at the center of Roskilde Festival, but also art, activism, camping and freedom. The festival has a strong focus on sustainability and collaborates with several universities and researchers to create new solutions.

World Heritage Day
