TOUR DE FRANCE IN FJORDLANDET
– When Roskilde was the starting city for the 2nd stage
On Saturday 2 July 2022, the world’s largest cycling race, the Tour de France, came to Roskilde and Lejre when the Grand Départ riders cycle through our scenic destination; Fjordlandet.
Roskilde was the starting city for the 2nd stage of the Tour de France and then the tour went through Lejre, before the field continued the 202 km towards the destination city Nyborg.
Billions of viewers from 190 countries watched as the Grand Départ riders whizzed through the Fjordland
