Boserup Trail | Boserup Skov
Mountain biking in Boserup Forest is a beautiful and challenging ride where you can ride 13 km on a marked route. It’s easy to get to and only 5 km from Roskilde station. Bicycle rental is available nearby.

Trekroner trail | Himmelev Forest
The route runs through an old gravel pit, and on most of the trail in Himmelev Forest, you can pick up good speed. In other places, it winds up and down hills, keeping your heart rate up. Easy to reach by car or public transport, and bicycle rental is available nearby.

The white Trail | Bidstrup forest
Here in the highly undulating Bidstrup Forests, we find one of Denmark’s most challenging and technically demanding trails. Easily accessible by car or public transport, with bicycle rental available nearby.

Drive where permitted
- In nature, you may only cycle on roads and trails
- Avoid cycling on marked horse trails, hiking routes, and similar paths outside forest roads.
- Do not ride on ancient monuments, burial mounds, dikes, and stairs.
- Do not enter private forests from sunset until 6 AM the next morning.
Drive responsibly
- Adjust your speed and keep a safe distance. Traffic laws also apply in nature.
- Cycle together – and always remember your helmet, phone, emergency app (112), and health insurance card.
- Preserve the trails during very wet periods; use only sturdy tracks and forest roads.
Show consideration
- Drive slowly when encountering other forest visitors. Use your bell or a verbal “ding-ding” well in advance.
- Do not litter in nature.
- Avoid crowded areas with many forest visitors and protect animals and plants
Lynghøjsøerne mountainbike trail:
In the hills by Lyngager Lake, there’s a green trail established that even beginners can ride. However, experienced riders can also challenge themselves on the trail. Easy to reach by car.

The devils trail | Lystrup Forest
In Lystrup Forest near Slangerup, a new natural trail has been built directly on the forest floor with reinforcement in a few places. The trail consists of two loops, one to the west about 6 km long and one to the east about 8 km long. Easy to reach by car or public transport, and bicycle rental is available nearby.
