In Bidstrup Forests, just west of the MTB trail, lies the Helvedeskedelen, a striking example of a deep sinkhole associated with ancient human sacrifices to the death goddess Hel.
In the highly hilly Bidstrup Forests, you’ll find one of Denmark’s most challenging and technically demanding trails.
The trail is one-way, running counterclockwise. It starts and ends at the parking lot right by the Avnstrup Asylum Center. Drive to Avnstrupvej 20, 4330 Hvalsø, and continue along the gravel road; you’ll find the parking lot shortly after on the right side.
