Welcome onboard the preserved steamship ”SKJELSKØR”. The beautiful steamship sails on Roskilde Fjord and is docked in Frederikssund Harbor - and you can join the trip.

Built at J. Ring Andersen’s Steel Shipyard on Frederik’s Island in Svendborg, the S/S Skjelskør set sail on its maiden voyage on 5 December 1914 and was baptised SKJELSKØR III.

Today this charming steamboat sails on Roskilde Fjord and docks at Frederikssund Harbour. During your voyage be sure to visit the boiler room to watch the beautiful old steam engine in action.

Sunday: Only on Sundays from June 16th to August the 18th (both included) S/S Skjelskør depart from Frederikssund old comvercial habor at 13:00, 14:30 and 16:00. The ship will head south toward Roskilde and the trip will last 1 hour. Reservation of ticket is not possible for Sundays trips.

Wednesday evening: From wensday the 26 of june untul wensdag the 14 of august (both days included) S/S Skjelskør depart from Frederikssund old comvercial habor at 19:00 and return at 21:00.

You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket. The ship will depart and arrive at the same location.

Reservation of ticket is possible for Wednesday trips. Please call Frits at +45 45 81 86 99 (english is spoken).

Good to know

The ship has one rest room – It is not wheelchair accessible.
Users of strollers, walkers and light wheelchairs can access the ship’s lower deck
Remember to bring a warm jacket or blanket for trips Wednesday evening – It can be chilly.

The ship does not have any food items for sale.
