If you like to spend you vacation in the countryside, would like to experience the atmosphere at a smallholding or be close to the wonderful nature in Hornsherred. Then a stay in one of our vacationappartments might be something for you
The holiday apartments both consist of two bedrooms, living room, large kitchen and toilet with shower. The apartments have Wi-Fi and a TV.
Common room: On the ground floor is a large common room with attached toilet and kitchen. The room is used during the busiest holiday season for the farm’s breakfast offer and in addition, the place’s guests have the opportunity to meet here if desired and do various activities.
Farmstay in vacation apartments – for families with children
Help feed and pet the farm animals:
If you choose our farmstay, you will have the opportunity to meet and help tend the different animals at the farm: Islandic horses, chickens, rabbits, sheep, goats and cats.
At the farm we also have a large kitchen garden. In the summertime it is possible for guest to buy vegetables of the season. You will be able to come and harvest the things you buy. You can also buy eggs from your chickens.
The garden, courtyard and cozy activities:
Some days in the afternoon if the weather is good, we might light a bonfire and make pancakes on the fireplace.
On the property the playground is in our old farm garden with swings, sandbox, trampoline, fireplace, and playhouse. The garden is fenced all the way around, so the children can play safely.
Duration of stay:
The school holidays are earmarked for farm holiday stays and during the summer holidays there are fixed intervals with either 3 or 6 nights.
Out of season (out of school holidays) a farm holiday has a duration of min. 2 nights.
